Baba Faqir Chand ji spent their last 25 years of life (1953- 1978) in Dhakoana Qadian. The place Dhakowana is known as funeral home of town Qadian, Babaji built a small Kutia (room) at this place and used as his meditation place. He lived at Dhkoana with his wife (mata ji) and one son named Gurcharan Das, Later his son become a doctor in profession (RMP) and stellated in Qadian Baba ji believed in living simple life with full devotion to worship of GOD. Baba ji generally spend his day by meditating and some time have to pick the left over grains from funeral place after the funeral and make floor and cook breads (roties) to eat. Babaji was keeping many cows , he used to cut grass himself from the area area and feed cows. He named his cows and generally call them with their name. some of cows has reach to sachkhand due to babaji kirpa to cows , Soem of babaji's followers are Amba, Amanrnath, Amrit and Seth, Jwllers in the area. Thre are many other followers of Baba Ji who are unknow by name and still vist to Dera Dhakoana at Baba ji's Kutia to get belessings.
Once upon time babaji got financial crises of food in langer sewa at Purnima. Baba Ji sent one follower to ask the neighbor farmer to give some cauliflowers to cook vegetable for langer . The t farmer has many acres of land in Qadian town at that itme and two acares of Califlowers. He denied to donate few cauliflowers for langer, he spoke bad about Babaji that if he is real saint why he don’t have this material for langer. Babaji listen this message from his follower and said nothing for him. Later the two acre of cauliflower all get perished by nature. The farmer started jealousy with Babaji He got into financial crises and he lost his all land and property by now.

Baba Ji believed in simple living and was completely against peoples who wear special dressings to appear themselves as saints but are not true saints

Baba ji believed that person in simple dressing should have known by there spiritual reach to lord to help human beings, not to cheat people and grab their money ,true saints are not hungry of other’s property, I saw in Babaji lived simple life
